New Providence offers a small town, but a big impact on education. New Providence has 2 Elementary Schools (PreK–6) - Allen W. Roberts, and Salt Brook Elementary, as well as 1 Middle School (7–8), and 1 High School (9–12). The entire school system has outstanding ratings in New Jersey, and across the nation. Below are the are stats for the year of 2016–2017!

The Elementary curriculum includes readers and writers workshops, go math, and next generation science standards. Students consistently perform above state and national averages on standardized measures of assessment, with excellent ratings in math, english and absenteeism!

The high school has an exceptional and rigorous curriculum that is offered, highlighting STEM, arts, athletic, and band programs. 

New Providence School District was named 2017 National District of Character, and was 1 of 4 districts in the nation to be named a National District of Character! The district earned the award for its dedicated focus on character education, fostering a positive impact on academic achievement, student behavior, school climate, and the community.

Recently the District was honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education for 2018. This prestigious distinction is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access, and education to all students!
