When it comes to American holidays, the 4th of July tops them all! Festivals, fun and games, car shows, bouncy houses, hot dogs and hamburgers, parades and of course, fireworks, are all part of how we as a country come together to celebrate our independence. Below is a list of great activities with something for everyone this year! Enjoy and Happy 4th!!


Morris Plains 2018 Family Day & Fireworks

  • Saturday, June 30, 2018  
  • Morris Plains Community Park, 51 Jim Fear Drive, Morris Plains 5pm to 10pm
  • Fireworks start at 9:30pm

Cranford 4th of July Celebration

  • Wednesday, July 4, 2018
  • Fireworks start at 9:15 at Nomahegan Park
  • Starts at 9am at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford

Livingston's 4th of July Celebration at Livingston High School

  • Wednesday, July 4, 2018
  • 30 Robert Harp Drive, Livingston
  • 10am to 10:30pm and includes car show

Montclair 4th of July at Yogi Berra Stadium at Montclair State University

  • Wednesday, July 4th, 2018
  • Parade at 11am at Bloomfield Avenue and town picnic to follow, with fireworks at night

Jersey City Freedom & Fireworks Festival

  • Jersey City Exchange Place on Montgomery Street in Jersey City
  • Wednesday, July 4th from Noon to 10pm

Randolph Freedom Festival and Parade

  • June 28-June 30th
  • County College of Morris off Center Grove Road in Randolph
  • Fireworks Saturday night (6/30) and parking is free

Summit's 70th Annual Mayor's 4th of July and Food Truck Festival

  • Soldier's Memorial Field on July 4th from 9:45am to 10pm
  • Fireworks at 9:15pm

Florham Park 4th of July Parade, Beer Garden and Fireworks

  • Wednesday, July 4th - 9am to 9:30pm
  • Fireworks at 8:15pm
  • Parade begins at 9:30 at Brooklake Road and Ridgedale Avenue - Beer Garden at Borough Hall at noon

Chatham Boro Independence Day Parade

  • Wednesday, July 4th
  • Starts at 9:30 down Main Street
